Oscar de la Renta to be exact. This ultra-swank, world-renown designer is now making fabrics that are meant for more than just draping bodies. His new collection of fabric wallpapers is turning heads on the interior design scene in a big way. The collection features a variety of intricately-woven patterns that use delicate floral prints to accentuate any room of the house.
The line, which was made in a partnership between de la Renta and Stalwart Lee Jofa (a big wig in the interiors industry), is finally up for grabs to the public. Their ingenious use of luxuriant textiles harkens global culturalism and truly encompasses the signature styles of the designers responsible.Together, de la Renta and Jofa have created 11 fantastic prints in a variety of domestic colors, each reportedly inspired by the vibrant sights and sounds of countries like India and the Dominican Republic. Drawing from the traditional patterns found on the well-made batiks, kilims, and ikats of those regions, the clever designers have found a way to combine ambience from abroad with hometown flair.
